Product Description
Bourbon barrels are usually retired after a single fill. 1000 Stories buys them anyway, and finishing California Cabernet Sauvignon in that spent oak is what separates this bottle from the rest of the shelf. The barrels give back char, sweet spice and a little of the whiskey’s warmth, layered onto a grape that already brings structure and depth. Every release is numbered as its own batch.
In the glass it runs deep and dark: blackcurrant, plum and cocoa, then vanilla, cedar and toasted oak underneath. The tannins are firm but polished, and the finish carries real length. Decant briefly and serve with steak, lamb, braised beef or a hard alpine cheese.
