Product Description
This is the wine that started it all. Zinfandel is the founding expression at 1000 Stories and still its best argument — a big, sun-fed California red rested in used bourbon barrels until oak and fruit meet somewhere in the middle. Grapes come from old-vine and hillside plots and are blended in small batches, so no two releases taste exactly alike.
The glass gives blackberry jam, black pepper and dark chocolate, then a bourbon-barrel warmth of vanilla, toffee and toasted spice. It is rich and mouth-filling without turning syrupy. Pour it with barbecue, burgers, smoked brisket or aged cheddar, and let it breathe a few minutes first.
