Three parts tequila, two parts lime, one part sweet — the margarita has been argued over for decades, and 1800 settled the argument in its own favor with a bottle you simply open. Its blue agave tequila comes already mixed with citrus at full cocktail strength, and the 1.75 litre size means one bottle usually covers the whole evening.
What you get is clean and correct: sharp lime, an agave backbone that stays visible, and a light sweetness holding the two together. Pour over ice in a salt-rimmed glass, or blend for a frozen round. Probably the most useful bottle in the fridge when a crowd is due.
