19 Crimes takes its name and its labels from the list of offences that could get a person transported to colonial Australia, and the wines carry that same unapologetic tone. The Pinot Noir is the softer side of the range — less brooding than the brand’s blends, but with the same generous, fruit-first Australian style behind it.
The glass gives ripe red cherry, plum and a hint of vanilla, with smooth tannins and a rounded, easy finish. It is comfortable served slightly cool.
