A second Pinot Noir in the 90+ Cellars catalog, and a reminder that the lot system is really a sourcing strategy: buy finished wine from producers who need to move it, bottle it plainly, pass the difference along. Lot 190 is the 2019, now settled into a nicely resolved place.
Expect darker fruit than the average Pinot — black cherry and plum alongside the usual red berry — with soft spice, a supple texture and a gently earthy finish. Serve it a touch below room temperature with roast turkey, grilled salmon, lentils or mushroom pasta. An adaptable red for tables where nobody agrees on anything.
