Product Description
Zinfandel is California’s adopted signature, and Alexander Valley Vineyards has been making a benchmark version of it since the estate’s early years. Warm Sonoma days give the fruit its exuberance; restraint in the cellar keeps it from becoming a fruit bomb.
Expect ripe blackberry and dark plum with a briary edge, cracked pepper, and a supple, moderately tannic finish that stays fresh rather than heavy. It is made for smoke and char: ribs, brisket, grilled sausage, mushroom burgers, or a slab of lasagna on a cold night.
