Product Description
Verdeca is a native white grape of Puglia that spent most of the last century being blended away into anonymity, and its recent revival is one of southern Italy’s quieter pleasures. From the Salento peninsula, it makes a white with real character for very little money.
Green apple, almond blossom and a saline, sun-warmed note lead into a dry, crisp palate with a faintly bitter almond finish — a classic Italian signature. Serve it very cold with grilled fish, fried calamari, olives, burrata, or a plate of orecchiette with greens.
