Product Description
Cognac comes only from a defined stretch of western France, where chalky soil and a maritime climate produce thin, acidic white wine that turns remarkable once double distilled in copper and rested in French oak. Ansac makes a VS in that tradition at an unusually approachable price.
Expect dried apricot, vanilla and a light floral lift over a warm oak base, finishing smooth rather than fiery. Sip it neat from a small glass, or put it to work in a sidecar, a French connection, or simply lengthened with ginger ale over ice.
