Product Description
Arnaldo Rivera is the single-vineyard project of Terre del Barolo, the Castiglione Falletto cooperative he founded in 1958, and the wines are drawn from named crus farmed by member growers. The 2013 vintage in Piedmont was classically proportioned, cool enough to preserve acidity and firm enough to demand patience. This is Nebbiolo in its traditional register.
Rose petal, tar, sour cherry and dried herb come first, followed by the tannic grip that defines Barolo. Decant it for an hour, serve it in a large bowl, and give it a rich plate to work against: braised beef, buttered risotto or a truffle-heavy pasta.
