Product Description
Extra anejo is the newest and most demanding tequila category, created in 2006 and requiring a minimum of three years in oak before a drop can be bottled. Very little tequila is made this way, because very little of it survives that long in wood without losing its identity. Arte Azul commits the barrel time and prices the result accordingly.
Deep amber, with dried fig, toffee, cocoa and toasted oak layered over what remains of the roasted agave. The texture is thick and the finish stretches out. Drink it neat and slowly, in a glass that concentrates aroma. An after-dinner bottle, and a gift for someone who already owns everything else.
