Product Description
Extra anejo is where tequila stops apologizing for itself. Avion holds this expression in oak far longer than the category minimum, letting time do work that no amount of blending can fake, and the result is a bottle that belongs at the top of the shelf rather than in the mixing rotation.
The color is deep amber and the palate runs to butterscotch, toasted almond, dark chocolate and vanilla, with cooked agave still audible beneath the wood. Pour it neat in a proper glass, no ice, and give it a few minutes to open. This is an after-dinner bottle, a gift bottle, and a very good reason to slow down.
