Limon arrived in the mid-nineties and more or less invented the flavored rum aisle as we know it. The recipe blends citrus, lemon leading with lime and grapefruit behind it, into the clean Bacardi white rum base, and it has stayed on back bars ever since because it does one thing extremely well.
Sharp citrus on the nose, tart and lightly sweet across the palate, with a dry, zesty finish. It is at its best in a tall glass with soda or lemonade, in a citrus punch, or shaken with fresh lemon juice for a rum sour. A reliable crowd bottle that people recognize on sight.
