Balletto farms in the Russian River Valley, a cool corner of Sonoma where Pinot Noir ripens slowly and holds onto its acidity. Making a rose from those grapes is a deliberate choice rather than an afterthought, and this bottling shows why: it has the structure of a serious wine in a package built for a warm afternoon.
