Product Description
Coopers char barrels; toasters heat them slowly instead. The difference matters, and this Balvenie bottling is built entirely around it, finishing twelve-year-old Speyside spirit in heavily toasted virgin American oak rather than the sherry casks the distillery is better known for. The result pushes the house honeyed style toward something warmer and more confectionery.
Vanilla, toasted marshmallow, cinnamon and baked apple over Balvenie familiar honey core, with a soft, sweet, gently spiced finish. Drink it neat in a copita, or add the smallest splash of water to open the top notes. A dessert-hour whisky, and a persuasive gift.
