Product Description
Along the Tuscan coast, Vermentino is the grape locals drink with whatever came out of the sea that morning. Banfi named this one La Pettegola, the gossip, after a shorebird that works those same beaches. It is a proper coastal Italian white, made with more care than the price suggests.
Citrus and white peach lead, with a green almond note and a saline finish that begs for salt and olive oil. Serve it well chilled with grilled fish, shellfish, fried vegetables or a plate of prosciutto. If you have worked through the Pinot Grigio shelf and want something with more depth, this is the natural next step.
