Brut is the dry end of the sparkling spectrum, and this is Barefoot playing it straight: a crisp California cuvee with no residual sweetness hiding the fruit. Green apple and citrus lead, with a light toasted note underneath and a brisk, dry finish. Serve it very cold. It is a natural aperitif, a sturdy base for a French 75 or a mimosa, and a good match for oysters, fried food and anything salty.
