Pinot Noir has a reputation for being expensive and temperamental, and Barefoot exists partly to argue with that. This is the lightest red in the range, made soft and fruity on purpose, and it works as an entry point for anyone who finds Cabernet too heavy or tannic.
Bright red cherry and raspberry lead, with a touch of cola and vanilla and a smooth, easy finish. Serve it cool rather than warm, with roast chicken, salmon, mushroom dishes or a plate of cured meats. A friendly, flexible red for a mixed table, and one of the safest bottles to bring when you do not know what is being served.
