Product Description
The Benziger family farms its Sonoma Mountain estate biodynamically, and Tribute is the wine built to show what that work produces. It is their flagship red blend, made from the certified estate vineyard rather than purchased fruit, and it carries the concentration you would expect from hillside growing. Bottles with some age on them are worth grabbing when they turn up.
Expect a dark, layered red with cassis, plum and dried herb, cedar and graphite from time in oak, and tannins that have softened with the years. Decant it, then pour with lamb, braised beef or aged hard cheese. A bottle for a slow dinner rather than a quick glass.
