Product Description
Black Stallion works out of a converted equestrian center in the Oak Knoll District of Napa Valley, and its Cabernet is the wine that put the label on the map. It offers a legitimate taste of Napa Cabernet without the four-figure ambitions that have overtaken much of the valley.
The wine is full-bodied and polished, with blackcurrant, dark cherry and plum, a layer of mocha and toasted oak, and tannins that are firm but well integrated. Decant it for half an hour, then serve with a ribeye, lamb, a mushroom-heavy dish or aged cheese. It drinks well now and will hold for several years.
