The Blue Hawaiian was invented in Waikiki in the 1950s and has survived every shift in cocktail fashion since, largely on the strength of its color and its pineapple-coconut core. On The Rocks builds theirs with real spirits and bottles it ready to pour, which is considerably faster than assembling one yourself.
