Product Description
Blue Nectar was built around a family recipe out of Jalisco, and the anejo is where that patience shows most plainly. Distilled from mature blue agave, then left in oak long enough to change character entirely, it trades the bright pepper of younger tequila for something rounder and more contemplative. This is the bottle you open when the tequila is the point of the evening rather than an ingredient in it.
Caramel, toasted vanilla and cooked agave lead, with a dry cocoa edge closing things out. Pour it neat in a copita and give it a few minutes to open up. It rewards the same unhurried attention you would give a good bourbon.
