Product Description
Pale copper-pink in the glass, this is rose made in the dry southern French manner rather than the sweet blush style, and the difference registers on the first sip. Bonterra picks early from organically farmed California vineyards to hold onto acidity, then presses gently so the color stays delicate. Very little of it survives past summer, which tells you most of what you need to know.
Strawberry, white peach and citrus rind over a stony finish with no residual sweetness whatsoever. Serve it properly cold. Ideal with grilled shrimp, a summer salad, soft cheeses, or nothing more elaborate than a warm evening on the back porch.
