Product Description
Bottles with this much time behind them rarely sit on a shelf for long. A 2012 red now well past its first decade has already done the waiting for you: tannins have knitted together, primary fruit has stepped back, and the more interesting savoury notes have moved to the front of the glass.
Expect dried black fruit, cedar, dried herb and a soft, resolved finish rather than the grip of a young wine. Decant it gently to leave any sediment behind, pour into large glasses, and pair with roast lamb, aged cheese or slow braised short rib. One for a table that will notice what it is drinking.
