Product Description
Branson made its name by bringing some swagger to a category that had grown comfortable. Produced in the Cognac region of France and released across a range of grades, it is pitched at drinkers who want the polish of a French brandy without the hush of a wood panelled library. The bottle looks the part on a back bar or a kitchen counter.
Look for ripe orchard fruit, vanilla and a warm caramel sweetness with a clean, medium finish. It sips comfortably neat over ice and mixes without disappearing, holding its own against ginger ale, lemon or a splash of cranberry. A crowd pleaser for a party where the cognac is meant to be poured, not admired.
