Product Description
The Brown family bought a ranch in the Chiles Valley corner of Napa in 1980 and planted vines on it, going on to become the valley's first Black owned estate winery. Cabernet Sauvignon is the anchor of the house, farmed on hillside ground east of the valley floor where the days run warm and the nights come down hard.
It is a full bodied, generous style: cassis and black cherry over cocoa, cedar and warm spice, with tannins that are firm on opening and settle beautifully with air. Decant an hour ahead. Serve with dry aged steak, braised lamb shank or a plate of aged cheeses. A Napa Cabernet that earns the occasion.
