Product Description
James Buchanan built his blending house in Victorian London on the understanding that a smoother whisky would sell to people who found single malts punishing. More than a century later, the eighteen year old Special Reserve is the most complete expression of that idea in the range, with every whisky in the blend having spent at least eighteen years in oak.
Time shows as depth: dried fruit, honey, dark chocolate and a soft curl of smoke, carried on a silky texture into a long, warming finish. Drink it neat or with a splash of water, in a glass that lets the aromas gather. A serious gift bottle, and a fine way to close a long dinner.
