Product Description
James Buchanan began selling his blend in London in 1884 and held a royal warrant within a decade, largely because his whisky was smoother than most of what was then on offer. DeLuxe Aged 12 Years is the direct descendant, a marriage of malt and grain whiskies with nothing younger than twelve years in the bottle.
It is soft and honeyed, offering dried apricot, toffee, vanilla and a light smoky thread beneath a creamy body. Neat, over a large cube, or in a highball with soda and a twist, it takes all three without complaint. A dependable bottle for a celebration, and equally at home on a quiet Friday.
