Product Description
Los Altos, the highland region of Jalisco, sits above six thousand feet, and agave grown in that thin air ripens slower and sweeter than lowland plantings. Camarena farms its own agave in that terrain and rests this tequila in oak to round it out. The 750 ml bottle is the standard for a reason: enough for a dinner party with some left over.
Barrel time adds vanilla and light caramel to the cooked agave core, while pepper and citrus keep the finish bright. It works neat, but it truly shines in a margarita where the oak lends the drink some weight. Serve at room temperature, or over a single large clear cube.
