Made from blue agave and rested in oak for the extended stretch the anejo designation requires, it targets the drinker who wants aged tequila character without stepping into three-figure territory. A quietly confident bottle.
Expect amber color and a soft, dessert-leaning profile of vanilla, toffee and roasted agave, with the oak sitting behind the fruit rather than on top of it. Pour it neat in a small glass and let it rest a moment before the first sip. It also builds a very good tequila old fashioned with a strip of orange.
