Camus has been in the hands of the same family since 1863, which makes it the largest independent, family-owned house in Cognac. The VS designation marks their youngest expression, blended from eaux-de-vie aged a minimum of two years in French oak. For a first bottle of Cognac, or a mixing bottle you are not precious about, it is a strong place to start.
Fruit-forward and lively, with grape, apricot and a light floral lift over gentle vanilla oak. Sip it neat in a tulip glass at room temperature, or use it wherever a recipe calls for brandy: a sidecar, a French 75 variation, or Cognac and ginger ale over ice.
