Product Description
Vernaccia is one of the oldest white grape names in Italy, tied to Tuscan hill country and to a style that has been made there since the Middle Ages. It is a white with unusual grip and length for its category, which is why it outlasted so many local varieties that simply vanished. This 2020 is at a good point, past its youthful edge and still fresh.
Look for lemon, green almond and white flowers over a dry finish with the faintly bitter twist that is part of the grape character. Serve it well chilled, around forty five degrees. Excellent with seafood pasta, fried vegetables, prosciutto or a plate of young pecorino.
