Product Description
Carpineto has been working in Tuscany since 1967, and Dogajolo is the house red that introduced a great many people to the estate. Built on Sangiovese with a measure of Cabernet Sauvignon, it borrows the supertuscan idea and makes it affordable enough to open on an ordinary Wednesday.
Ripe cherry and plum with a touch of sweet spice and cedar from time in oak, medium-bodied, with supple tannins and a clean, food-friendly finish. Serve slightly below room temperature. It goes easily with pasta and meat sauce, grilled steak, roast chicken, or a board of salumi and pecorino.
