In the Oltrepo Pavese hills south of Milan, growers have long made a sweet, lightly sparkling red called Sangue di Giuda, and it remains one of Italy's most charming local secrets. Casteggio sits at the center of that zone, and this bottling follows the traditional style: low in alcohol, gently fizzy, and unapologetically sweet.
