Product Description
Catena Zapata is the flagship estate of Argentina's most influential wine family, and its reds are among the country's most collected. This is a 2010, a bottle with fifteen years behind it, from a producer whose top wines are built specifically to reward that kind of patience.
Mature Argentine reds trade primary fruit for complexity: dried black fruit, tobacco, leather and sweet spice, with tannins that have softened into silk. Open it well ahead and decant off any sediment. Pour it with a properly cooked steak, or with nothing at all and enough time to pay attention.
