Product Description
Picpoul is grown along the Mediterranean coast of southern France, beside the oyster beds of the Thau lagoon, and the pairing is no accident. The grape's name translates loosely as lip-stinger, a fair warning about the acidity that makes it so refreshing.
This one is bone dry and lively, with lemon, green apple, a saline note and a finish that snaps clean. Serve it seriously cold with oysters, grilled shrimp, fried fish, or a plate of anything briny. One of the best value whites in France, and a reliable answer when a table cannot agree.
