Gran Centenario traces its roots to nineteenth-century Jalisco, and the anejo carries the most of that heritage. Aged in oak until the spirit turns amber and the raw agave edge resolves into something sweeter, it belongs to the older, richer school of tequila rather than the lean modern one. The 750 ml is the bottle to buy if you intend to sip it regularly.
