Product Description
White Bordeaux is the region's quiet achievement, and the Blaye hills on the right bank turn out some of its best value. Haut-Bertinerie works vineyards there, and its white shows why Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon remain such a persuasive pairing.
The wine is dry and aromatic, with grapefruit, white peach, a touch of citrus blossom and a rounded texture that keeps it from being sharp. Serve it cold with oysters, grilled fish, goat cheese, or a herb-heavy salad. A refreshing alternative for anyone who defaults to Sancerre.
