Chateau Ste. Michelle has been making Riesling in Washington State longer than most American wineries have existed, and it remains one of the largest producers of the grape in the world. That scale has kept the wine consistent, and kept the price remarkably low.
This is the off-dry style: peach, apricot and lime, with a touch of sweetness balanced by lively acidity so it finishes clean rather than sugary. Serve it very cold with spicy food, roast pork, or a cheese board. An easy, aromatic white that converts skeptics more often than not.
