Product Description
Chakana farms in Mendoza's Agrelo district, working its own vineyards at the foot of the Andes. Estate fruit means control from planting to bottling, and it shows in a Malbec with more definition and less confected sweetness than much of what the category offers at this price.
The wine is dark and juicy, with blackberry, plum, violet and a cocoa note, carried on tannins that are ripe rather than grippy. It is made for grilled meat, which is exactly what Argentina would tell you. Serve with steak, chorizo, or anything with char, slightly below room temperature.
