Product Description
Volnay is the most delicate of the great red villages of the Cote de Beaune, prized for perfume and finesse rather than power. Growers there have chased elegance for centuries, and the results are among the most graceful Pinot Noirs in France.
The wine is silky and floral, with red cherry, rose petal, strawberry and a fine mineral thread, its tannins polished and its finish long. Decant briefly and serve slightly cool with duck, veal, or salmon. Best treated as a wine to think about rather than a bottle to open casually.
