Product Description
Malbec's original home is southwest France, not South America, and the wines made there are darker, firmer and more savory than the Argentine style most drinkers know. This is that older tradition, a French Malbec built on structure rather than plushness.
The palate runs to black plum, damson, violet and a dry, slightly rustic tannin, with an earthy finish that calls for food. Serve it with duck confit, cassoulet, lamb, or a well-charred steak. Decant it for half an hour and it rewards the wait. A revelation for committed Malbec drinkers.
