Product Description
Cotes de Francs is the smallest appellation in Bordeaux, tucked into the hills east of Saint-Emilion, and Chateau Puygueraud is its best-known estate. The Thienpont family, also behind some of Pomerol's most famous wines, revived the property and put the appellation on the map.
The wine is dark and structured, with black cherry, plum, graphite and a fresh herbal lift, its tannins fine and its finish long. Decant it and serve with beef, lamb, or a mushroom dish. Considerable pedigree behind a bottle that still counts as one of Bordeaux's better secrets.
