Product Description
Saint-Joseph runs along the right bank of the Rhone in granite terraces so steep that much of the work is still done by hand. Offerus is the negociant bottling from Jean-Louis Chave, whose family has made wine in the northern Rhone since the fifteenth century, and it is one of the finest introductions to the appellation money can buy.
Black olive, cracked pepper and violet over dark cherry and cured meat, with fine tannins and a savory, mineral finish that sits a long way from New World Shiraz. Serve it cool rather than warm. Superb with lamb, duck, grilled sausage or a peppered steak.
