The daiquiri began as a simple Cuban rum sour and picked up strawberries somewhere on its way to becoming a poolside institution. Chi-Chi's keeps that later, sweeter version alive in a 1.75 liter bottle, ready for a blender and a stack of cups.
Sweet red fruit dominates, with a citrus lift underneath that stops it from feeling heavy after the first glass. Blend hard with ice for the classic slushy texture, or pour over cubes when the blender is already in the dishwasher. Garnish with a strawberry and, if you are committed, a paper umbrella.
