Product Description
Codigo 1530 began as a private tequila made for families in Amatitan and never sold commercially, which is a better origin story than most brands can claim. The blanco is the unaged expression, rested only briefly before bottling, and it shows the Lowland agave character the house is built on.
It is soft and rounded rather than sharp, with cooked agave, citrus, a little white pepper and a clean, almost sweet finish. Excellent neat over a large cube, and the cocktail blanco of choice for anyone who wants a margarita without rough edges. A genuine step up from the well.
