Product Description
Col d Orcia is one of the largest organic estates in Tuscany, best known for Brunello di Montalcino, and Spezieri is the wine it makes for the table rather than the cellar. Same hillside farming, none of the wait, which is a rare combination at this price.
Sangiovese gives it sour cherry and dried herbs, with a savoury, faintly earthy edge and bright acidity that makes it a genuine food wine. Serve it lightly cool. It is made for tomato and olive oil: pasta al pomodoro, grilled sausage, aged pecorino, a Tuesday pizza.
