Product Description
Claret is the old English word for red Bordeaux, and Coppola borrowed it for a wine built on the same logic: Cabernet Sauvignon at the center, rounded out by its traditional blending partners.
It comes across ripe and polished, with blackcurrant, dark cherry and plum layered over cedar, cocoa and sweet oak spice, and tannins that are firm without ever turning harsh. Decant it briefly and serve with roast beef, lamb, mushroom dishes or a good steak. One of the more reliable reds in its price range.
