Product Description
1821 is the year Mexico finally secured its independence, and Corralejo chose it as the name for the most serious bottling in its range. Extra anejo means a minimum of three years in oak, and at that point a tequila stops behaving like an agave spirit and starts behaving like a fine brandy. The decanter is substantial, the presentation is formal, and the whole thing is designed to be given rather than casually bought.
Deep amber in the glass, it offers dark caramel, toffee, dried fruit and toasted oak, with cooked agave still traceable underneath and a long, smooth finish. Pour it neat in a wide glass after dinner and leave the ice alone. A milestone bottle for anniversaries, promotions and anyone who collects aged spirits.
