Product Description
A twenty-one year age statement is unusual in Cognac, where blends are more often labelled by grade than by years. Courvoisier reserves this for eaux-de-vie held far longer than the VSOP or XO tiers require, drawn from a cellar with more than two centuries of stock to work from.
Two decades in oak produce a Cognac of considerable depth: candied orange, dried fig, walnut, leather and sweet spice over a long, resinous finish. Serve a small measure neat, in a tulip glass, at room temperature. This is a bottle for marking something, not for mixing.
