Product Description
A magnum of declared vintage Port is a cellar object as much as a bottle. The larger format ages more slowly and more evenly than a standard bottle, which matters for a wine that can improve for decades, and two thousand and eleven was a year the Douro houses declared with confidence.
Young vintage Port is powerful: dense black fruit, violet, liquorice and grippy tannin under considerable sweetness. Decant it carefully off the sediment and give it hours, or lay it down further. Serve with Stilton, walnuts or dark chocolate, in small glasses, after dinner.
